This album was written, recorded and realised over a four-year period during the darkest of seasons, from Melbourne's winter of 2005 to its conclusion on a still, snow filled winter's day in Nashville, 2008. Recorded in bedrooms, kitchens, hallways and studios across Melbourne and a beach shack on the Victorian coastline, this music from cold places found its way to tape and into a world through the generosity, love ad support of many friends and loved ones. These 10 songs have traveled far from the humble beginnings of our bedrooms, rambling half way round the world to Europe and then on to North America before coming home. The day's dust has driven us to refine and sift these songs as deeply as we could, to find a way past the shadows and tricks of the light. We have grown by listening, sifting the noise that at times has overwhelmed and learning from those who have gone before. This album is dedicated to the inspiration, love and memory of Norman and Lorna Lang. You are loved and missed.Track list
