Exciting News! Skipping Girl Vinegar are going to the USA

Skipping Girl Vinegar are going to the USA in October 2012 to play important showcases. If you have enjoyed or felt moved by the work of SGV and would like to be a part of this maiden voyage into the US it would mean a great deal to all of us.

1. Become an International SGV Hobo Philanthropist and help make this possible.  You can do this by Bank Transfer or through our website (click below).  All ‘International Philanthropists’ will receive exclusive pictures and tour updates as well as free digital exclusive live recordings of songs recorded at SGV’s June studio performance. (See #2 for more details). You will also be honoured on the SGV ‘International Tour Sponsors Wall of Fame’.

2. We are doing an exclusive gig in a Melbourne studio on Friday 1st June at 7pm for a maximum of 20 people. 
The gig is going to be filmed for agents in the USA and will also be broadcast later over the internet for those that can’t make it. Be one of the first 20 to email back to win your pass to this exclusive gig (and possibly get yourself in the filming). We are not charging for people to attend. All we ask is that you make a donation of what you can afford towards our trip to the USA. This can be done via our website, bank transfer or in an envelope on the night.

3. Have an SGV Bake sale at your work or school. 
If you have enjoyed any of Amanthi’s baking over the last couple of years and would like to repay the favour you can bust out your baking skills. Double-check with your boss or school and have a bake sale for morning tea. Amanthi will provide recipes for anyone who wants them or you can freestyle and do your own thing.

4. Host an SGV gig at your place.
You could have SGV play an exclusive show at your place if you can collect enough of your friends together to help raise some cash for our trip.

5. Help advance our airfares to US or Sponsor an SGV hobo.
There are cheap flights to the USA at the moment. If you have the ability to help advance any of the $8000 we need for flights to take advantage of the flight sale, please let us know. You may be able to help advance some money immediately in a no-interest loan, or sponsor one of the member’s flights.

6. Have your picture taken with Baker the ‘Hobo Space Monkey’ at USA Landmarks.  If you make a donation towards SGV in the USA, you can send us a photo of yourself.  Baker will take your photo with him to the US and have new photos of you and him taken in front of famous New York and Nashville landmarks. Think of the brilliant Facebook profile pic of you and Baker in Times Square, you and Baker at the Statue of Liberty, and so on. Brilliant!
